Sound Studio adds iTunes Plus support
Freeverse Software on Thursday announced the release of Sound Studio 3.5.2, an update to their audio recording and editing software for Mac OS X. A free update for registered users, Sound Studio costs $79.95.
Sound Studio was designed to help users record and edit digital audio, with specific features aimed at users digitizing analog content from tapes and vinyl, tweaking levels and equalization, applying digital effects and saving content in all major file formats.
Sound Studio 3.5.2 now sports the ability to open iTunes Plus files — audio files free of DRM purchased from Apple’s iTunes Store. Localizations have been updated, audio playback of a file stops when closing its window, the Pitch and Tempo filter’s duration field is now more accurate, saving over an existing preset no longer closes the filter dialog box, and auto start/stop recording now stops playback and recording before showing the dialog box.
Sound Studio requires Mac OS X v10.4 or later, a G3/500MHz or faster, 512MB RAM, 1GB hard disk space. Sound Studio is a Universal binary. A downloadable demo is available.
